 Cogni s.a.s.. – an Italian company registered in Via Girardengo, 44 – 15067 Novi Ligure (AL), the creator and promoter of all the activities available on the internet site COGNI.IT, reserves the right to use the personal data, freely and explicitly provided by the site users, in conformity with all current Italian legislation governing privacy and protection of personal data (article 13 etc of Legislative decree 196/2003).

Site users are invited to visit regularly this section for updates on the relative legislation governing the use of their personal data.

Cogni.it guarantees its users that their personal data will exclusively be used for the purpose of supplying its services, for the management of the site activities, and for the execution of their orders.

No personal data, freely and explicitly supplied by the users, will ever be communicated or distributed to any third parties.

In the event of payments effected by credit card, the essential data required for the execution of the transaction (credit/debit card number, expiry date, security code) will be sent to the payment intermediary (in this case Paypal), and when required to companies involved in combatting fraud, using secure encoded protocols, which will not in any way permit access to third parties. This secret information will never in any case be visible or recorded by the vendor Cogni s.n.c.

Cogni s.a.s. adopts adequate security measures to minimize the risk of unauthorized destruction or loss of data, and to combat the saving of personal data for purposes other than those indicated in our Privacy Policy.
 
However, Cogni s.a.s. cannot guarantee that all the security measures put in place as the website promoter are able to eliminate all risks of unauthorized access to our servers, nor the loss of data on devices being used by its customers. For this reason, we advise all our website users to ensure that their devices are equipped with adequate safety measures to protect the data they transmit to our website ( for example updated anti-virus software) and that their internet provider has adopted sufficient and congruent security protocols for the transfer of personal and private data over the web.

Cogni.it informs its customers and website users that they are guaranteed their rights as established by the Italian legislative decree 196/2003, article 7, of which the key points are listed here below, and in particular their rights to request from Cogni s.n.c. the following information :

  • confirmation of the existence or not of personal data which concerns them on our systems
  • the clear communication of what personal data exists and in what circumstances it was collected
  • the motive and the scope of the data collection and the usage of the data collected

The request for the above information to be provided can be renewed at minimum intervals of 90 days, except in the case of a just cause being cited : cancellation or modification of such data due to a violation of the law, cancellation of data which cannot be used for the declared scope for which it was collected.
